Pictures and Maps of the Trail

The Campaigner March takes place on the Steamboat Trace Trail in southeast Nebraska. The part of the trail we will be taking is approximately 16 miles total, but it will be split 8 miles in the morning and 8 miles in the afternoon. To do the full 16 mile march, you will need to arrive in Brownville, NE on Thursday night. On Friday, we will start the march from Brownville and make our way to Peru, where we will stop for a break. There happens to be a tent campground right off the trail head where we can throw down and rest and build fires for food if we need to. Modern bathrooms will be there as well. From there, we'll get up in the afternoon and push on the other 8 miles until we hit Brownville, NE. Since the purpose of this march is to learn something about troops on campaign, you will be required to have a knapsack or bedroll with you. Anything you will need for the weekend or for camping at night should be carried with you on the march. Keep that in mind as you pack.
